During my recent stay, I was thoroughly impressed by every aspect of this magnificent property. The beautifully landscaped gardens and grand entrance create a breathtaking first impression. Walking through the corridors adorned with rare artifacts and historical photographs is like a journey through time. The rooms were spacious, elegantly furnished, and equipped with all the modern amenities. My room was impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. The attention to detail, from the luxurious linens to the well-stocked minibar, was truly commendable. The marble bathroom, complete with premium toiletries, added to the overall sense of opulence. Dining Experience The dining options were simply outstanding. 1911 Restaurant is perfect for those looking to enjoy delicious meal with relaxing atmosphere. Service and Staff The staff at the Imperial Hotel deserve special mention. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was incredibly professional, courteous, and attentive to my needs. They went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. Overall Experience Staying at the Imperial Hotel in New Delhi was a luxurious and enriching experience. This was, simply, the best travel experience I have had at a hotel. It exceeded other 5 star properties I’ve visited at every turn. The staff were incredibly efficient, friendly, and relaxed. Especially nice touches: front desk staff accompany you to your room at check-in and complete documents there, for comfort, and give an overview of your room. The room was luxurious without being cavernous, amenities generous, excellent minibar options, and very comfortable robes. The 1911 restaurant was a welcome respite and served wonderful Continental and Indian dishes. The breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully orchestrated. The hotel bookstore was a precious and well-curated little gem. The concierge was unfailingly helpful and the spa was like a dream to escape the New Delhi smog. The hotel’s art collection was of real interest and the overall vibe was delightful.

The historic and beautiful Art Deco building provides a unique and memorable experience. The hotel boasts one of the largest private art collections in the world, with the artwork displayed on the walls visually representing important moments in India's history. An absolute treasure of art to discover. The staff were outstanding - friendly, helpful, experienced and always professional. We loved the first-class service provided, and greatly appreciated all the staff we spoke to, in particular Chandra who looked after our room with finesse, and Nitin who served us at breakfast, remembering our particular requirements. We also had informative chats with Louis Sailer and Surender Singh Thakur who impressed on us value of the building and its art, as well their genuine passionate for providing the highest level of customer experience. We appreciated the hotel providing as much bottled drinking water as we needed, in addition to an extravagant breakfast. Brilliant location - close to everything and lots to do and see in walking distance of the hotel.

My wife and I wrote this review together as we spent this special time celebrating our anniversary. I am Indian, and my wife is Swedish, and this cultural difference made our experience even more fascinating and delightful. We truly felt like a Maharaja and Maharani during our stay at this hotel. The staff treated us with utmost respect and warmth, and they generously upgraded our room to a suite, which was a wonderful surprise. To celebrate our anniversary, they prepared a delicious cake and a beautiful bouquet, creating unforgettable moments for us. The pool was a relaxing and pleasant experience, and the massage we received was one of the highlights of our stay. My wife has nothing but praise for Gitan, the professional and courteous masseuse. This stay offered us a unique blend of luxury and tranquility.

It is elegant, historic, and supremely comfortable. It has an excellent Italian restaurant, and high tea is a real experience. I am sure the Indian restaurant is equally fine, but I had been in rural India for six weeks, and was thrilled at the possibility of pasta, fish and chips, and club sandwiches. All were perfect, as was the comprehensive breakfast buffet. The staff are thoughtful and attentive. A special note: on the terrace you can see (and even dine at) the table where Gandhi, Nehru, Jinnah, and Lord Mountbatten met to discuss the partition of India. Nothing has ever given me a more immediate sense of history.
